:P More info from me, lol.

Myspace and Facebook -
Myspace is focused mainly on "comments," which are small messages that people send back and forward to each other on pictures, blogs, bulletins (though not all people allow them on their posts) and their profiles. In my circle at least, no one has ever read my blog, and most people have so many friends that a bulletin passes by on the board (since the board only allows for about 10 posts at a time (and they recieve every bulletin their added friends post)). It's a great site to share pictures though, I find most people who visit my myspace tend to leave picture comments. And, they recently added updates for myspace so you know which of your friends added/changed their profiles, pictures, etc. A good plus (or minus) is that you can customize your page any way you'd like. There's millions of layouts, customized comment boxes, and layout generators online. That can be expressive or a hassle, because it takes so long for beginners to find a good layout (best thing I've found is to get a nice wallpaper-sized photo and feed that into a layout generator). Plus, some friends post really annoying bright pink wallpapers with very high-pitched songs and the most obnoxious glitter graphics x_x but that's probably only 'cause I'm in high school. By the way, Myspace has been voted #1 Worst Site Design. xD

Facebook is vastly different. It focuses mainly on application (small games and such) that are shared between friends. They're pretty amusing for a short while, but eventually they get tedious (for instance, there's an application called Vampires vs. Werewolves, in which you try to send it to as many friends as you can by "biting" them (aka: sending them a message asking them to join the Vamp army - I was a Vamp, not a werewolf, so I have no idea of the equivalents)). There's a very handy application called FunWall, which allows you to draw on your friends profiles. That seems to be the main highlight of Facebook. You can also send messages, post up youtube vids, and do absolutely anything that can be found in the apps (the youtube one is an app as well). There's practically no changing your page. It's about which apps you add and what you write about yourself. I've never tried to blog on facebook, but once again, I never went to my friend's blogs either, so it could be about equal to myspace's blogging system.

And, as for Vox mobile (which really should have been the bulk of my comment, but... oh well), there's an application for free on Palm phones (I have the Centro from Sprint - shoulda gotten the red one instead of the black though). You can post very well from anywhere, but it's new so I haven't tried to post pictures up yet. And the buttons are a bit small, but I seem to be adjusting quite well. ^_^
I started looking around because I purchased the N95 8GB about a week ago and aside from the 5mp camera (which still astounds me!) it had online services built in so I could just download to Vox on the fly. I was wondering what the differences between some of the other blog sites but I've definitely found Vox the easiest to update directly from my phone.
I appreciate the comparison of Myspace and Facebook. Thank you!

The two "blogging" programs I am familiar with at all are blogger and, now, vox. The latter seems to me much more "social" and to have more exchanges. For example, I know that some of what I post is read. But I never had that impression on blogger.

On the other hand, blogger easily accepts multiple blogs, for different subjects, by the same author.

Got any comments on comparing those two?
