The Politics of Snow Shoveling

Comments

That reminds me that I need to bake some bread for the democrat down the block who clears our (Independent) sidewalk half the time. :) To be fair though, we're conservationists and don't believe we have a large enough parcel of land to justify anything other than a snow shovel (no fossil-fuels required), while the neighbor(D) has a snow thrower. ;)
Cute reply, thank you. :)

The other neighbor issue, in addition to snow shoveling, which involved me was when Barbara passed away in 2003 and I was very ill myself. Some were kind enough to augment my food supply. I say "God Bless the casserole ladies," regardless of their partisan affiliation.
I'll second that. God bless the casserole ladies! They are good citizens indeed!
[this is good]
hahaha, i have no idea if your snow shoveling views are true but i'll take your word for it! def gonna remember this when i finally move out of my apt into a real house!
I so agree with your political rant!
And about the shoveling too. We are lucky now. The condo association takes care of everything for us...as long as we have over 2 inches...and this winter, that has been about every time it has snowed. We are getting more here too...
Firstly - every time I come here you have a new banner!

The first time I had to shovel snow was only a few weeks ago and a neighbour came and offered to help me - I must have looked pathetic!! I thanked him nicely and continued doing it myself including my share of the public footpath.
About banners--yes, I am experimenting and trying to learn how to use my own photos. To get the size right. So I have tried a number of different ones, and probably will continue to do so.

On your snow shoveling--good for you for doing some of the public space, and also good for your neighbor to offer to help you out, whether "pathetic" or not.

And just in general, I am so appreciative of the very nice tone of everyone who has responded to my "political" comments.
